Pillars of the Community

Pillars of the Community is an organization where community members come together to learn about one another, foster relationships, and mobilize for community change and social justice. We advocate for communities and people negatively impacted by law enforcement and the punishment system and are committed to embracing and celebrating the historic, rich, and diverse culture of Southeast San Diego and communities like it across the United States. We strive to counter the criminalization of our neighborhoods through community organizing, leadership development, policy work, and strategic partnerships. Our vision is for healthy and thriving communities which reflect the rich and diverse culture of all its members that centers and supports those left behind by the “American dream.”
Union of Pan Asian Communities (UPAC)

The Union of Pan Asian Communities (UPAC) is a 501(c)(3) organization that provides a comprehensive array of health and human services programming dedicated to improving the overall well-being of San Diego’s underserved communities. The mission of the Union of Pan Asian Communities (UPAC) is to strengthen and empower the diverse, underserved and vulnerable communities of San Diego. We provide person-centered, holistic services prioritizing culture and ethnic identity to enhance the overall health, well-being and self-sufficiency of those served.
The San Diego LGBT Community Center

The San Diego Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Community Center is one of the largest and most vibrant LGBTQ+ community centers in the nation. The Center provides targeted programs and services to the full diversity of the San Diego LGBTQ+ community, including lesbian, gay, bisexual, queer, transgender, nonbinary, immigrant, and HIV communities to the betterment of our entire San Diego region.
Operation HOPE – North County

At Operation HOPE-North County, we are dedicated to breaking the cycle of homelessness by providing safe shelter, vital reosurces, and compassionate support to families and individuals in need. Through empowerment, advocacy, and community collaboration, we help our residents regain stability and build a parth toward self-sufficiency. We envision a region where individuals experiencing homelessness are not defined by their circumstances but are instead embraced with empathy, respect, and the tools to regain their independence.
North County LGBTQ Resource Center

The North County LGBTQ Resource Center is a 501(c)3 organization that serves the lesbian, gay, transgender, bisexual, and questioning (LGBTQ) community of North County San Diego. Our service area includes the communities of Encinitas, Carlsbad, Oceanside, Vista, San Marcos, Escondido, Rancho Bernardo, Fallbrook, Camp Pendleton, and other outlying areas. Our mission is to serve, empower, and advocate for North County’s diverse LGBTQI community. We envision a community where everyone lives in equality, feeling accepted, valued, safe and free from social stigma.
Karen Organization of San Diego

Karen Organization of San Diego advances educational, civic, & economic opportunities for ethnic groups from Burma (Myanmar) while honoring cultural heritage. We help refugees navigate social service systems, access leadership and employment opportunities, and stay connected to their community and culture.

Casa Familiar is the leading service and community development organization in the community of San Ysidro, providing over 40 bilingual programs and services at six different sites in the community.
