The North County LGBTQ Resource Center is a 501(c)3 organization that serves the lesbian, gay, transgender, bisexual, and questioning (LGBTQ) community of North County San Diego. Our service area includes the communities of Encinitas, Carlsbad, Oceanside, Vista, San Marcos, Escondido, Rancho Bernardo, Fallbrook, Camp Pendleton, and other outlying areas. Our mission is to serve, empower, and advocate for North County’s diverse LGBTQI community. We envision a community where everyone lives in equality, feeling accepted, valued, safe and free from social stigma.

Immigration Services – To create a transformative impact for LGBTQ undocumented immigrants/migrants, refugees and asylum seekers, The Center provides education and referrals for direct legal services this community vulnerable to violence and hate. Legal services are funded by the Stop the Hate Program and provided by our partner, UURise.

Unicorn Homes provides transitional housing to youth who are homeless or are at risk of homelessness due to coming out as part of the LGBTQ+ community, and provides paths to mental health resources, job readiness, life coaching, and independent living skills.
Eligible to 18+ LGBTQIA+ youth who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

Unicorn Village is for Unicorns 18-28 desiring a transitional housing experience that includes independent living. Unicorns live in their own sleeping cottage and have access to community living areas.

Are you a parent navigating the challenges of supporting your 2SLGBTQIA+ child? You don’t have to do it alone. Our goal is to build community & celebrate your family in a safe and inclusive space. Join Simone Dougherty, LPCC over 30 years of experience in the mental health field. Simone specializes in working with the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and is a parenty of a transgender daughter and gay son. Her goal is to provide a supportive and space space for parents to share experiences, gain insights, and find guidance as they learn how to best support their children.
“Over the Rainbow” support group for kids aged 9-12 is hosted at the same time.

A 2SLGBTQIA+ youth social group open for kids 9-12 to come and meet new friends in their community.
Parents with Pride is hosted at the same time.
Weekly on Mondays from 6:30-7:30pm
CAYA (Come as You Are) provides a warm and welcoming space for 18+ transgender, gender non-conforming, questioning, and intersex people of North County. We create a group dynamic that allows everyone to process their struggles and share their joy related to their gender journey and cultivate tools for resilience.
